Lewis Rice, one of the St. Louis region's leading law firms, sought new office space that would speak to their reputation and importance in the St. Louis business community and radically transform their office aesthetic. Christner's law firm design team worked with Lewis Rice to revisit a broad range of operational goals, from file management, to the development of secretarial teams, to the creation of a centralized conference center.
We redesigned the top six floors of a downtown St. Louis office tower with a mid-century modern influence. We developed five floors with flexible office environments for lawyers and staff, and the top floor as a conference center featuring state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.

Christner's custom-designed reception desk greets Lewis Rice clients as they enter the conference center.
To reinforce an open and inviting feel, we used a movable glass partition system fitted with textured glass. We designed custom signage to cleanly coordinate with the mid-century modern aesthetic.
Our interior designers created a palette defined by textured glass, walnut paneling and marble floors, highlighted by an exceptional corporate art collection.
We transformed a spectacular glass barrel vault space, with views of the city and the Mississippi River, into a venue for special events.
We complemented the expansive views of the city by using dark wood and clean lines in the office furniture.
We reinforced the social component of the office space by incorporating informal seating areas throughout, including the library.
