Sisters of Mercy Convent Assisted Living Center

Meeting the needs of elderly residents in a home-like environment

Located on the idyllic 70-acre wooded campus of the Sisters of Mercy Convent and retreat center, the assisted living center is designed to connect daylit interior spaces with the outdoors. We created a home-like community for retired and infirm nuns in an addition linked to the 1950's-era main building. The 48-unit addition includes a chapel, bedrooms, a community room, therapy rooms and nurses' stations. Renovations to the existing facility establish a uniform environment and include new kitchen and dining facilities, a beauty shop, library, and computer room.
