Christner designed renovations to the Dorothy and Larry Dallas Heart Center to create a specialized cardiology clinic that supports pediatric patients and families. It is also a recruitment tool for top physicians. The 7,000 sf renovation provides a new waiting and reception area, nine exam rooms and five diagnostic treatment areas. The flexible design of the exam and treatment rooms accommodates a variety of technologies, including fetal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, and real-time 3D heart imaging.

We designed the kid-friendly waiting area to reflect the same interior standards created for the recently completed NICU and Surgery Suite.
Designers created a dedicated entry that establishes a new public presence for the clinic. Patients are more conveniently served by the consolidation of cardiac exam and treatment services.
We incorporated a centralized nurse station that gives nurses a workspace near their patients.
Exam and diagnostic treatment rooms are tailored to cardiac care with flexibility to accommodate changing technology.
