Pattonville High School recently opened its newly designed athletic field. The Christner team worked closely with school and athletic department representatives to design improvements to the football stadium and track that will position Pattonville’s athletic facilities in the top tier of local school districts. Improvements include the replacement of the stadium locker rooms, addition of a press box and concession stand, installation of all-weather turf on the field for both football and soccer, and upgrades to the 8-lane track. Christner also designed stadium bleachers that will accommodate 3,400 spectators.
A new natatorium, which is attached to the high school, includes an indoor pool, athletic department offices, instructional rooms, multi-purpose space and lockers. The “Pattonville Pirate” logo and video wall create an exciting spectator experience. The natatorium is scheduled to open in December.
Pattonville High School, with approximately 1,700 students, is one of the regoin’s largest public schools. The stadium and natatorium are among the projects funded by Prop K, a $41 million bond issue approved in November 2010.
